Wow that was a long title for this post! But no, I am not used to truncating restaurant or business names, specially for Aling Remy's Special Delicious Puto and Kutsinta, no, that won't happen.
We bought a handful of these delicious bites of joy and took a few close-up shots for your enjoyment. We hope you get the feeling that they are so near they will pop out of your screen any second now.
This is a tribute, to one of the best comfort foods in Marikina.
To a party or reunion staple.
To puto and kutsinta with a unique taste, be it the putong pula, putong puti, or kutsinta.
To a secret recipe prepared with love, a recipe that will live on for generations and generations.
If you've been living in Marikina and still haven't tried these, I want a really good explanation why. Kidding! :)
It's never too late though. Just look for the sign:

hi guys! thank you for all your blog posts. i actually went to aling remy's today after reading your previous post. my friend is a marikenyo so he always brings puto at our gatherings. i didn't quite realize that where i live (eastwood) is theoretically very close to aling remy's. my GPS gave me some crazy directions and i ended up taking marcos hwy, making a u-turn, turning left on a random side street, and going through a maze until i ended up by the side of OLA. is it faster to just take FVR towards riverbank, then a. bonifacio and a right on jp rizal? hehe
ReplyDeletehi Anne! thanks for dropping by. :) So sorry to hear about the GPS thingy though! Yes, it would have been easier to pass through Riverbanks, when you reach the Marikina River Bridge turn right and go straight. You'll see the church, and then the shoe museum, and after a few seconds... Aling Remy's to your right. :)
ReplyDeletesuch plump puto! got to stop browsing now,or else, haha
ReplyDeletehi astrid, plump talaga? what a cute way to describe the puto ;) no, please don't stop browsing :D haha! thanks for visiting, cheers!
ReplyDeletesarap ng puto nila! sa aling remy's! roar! :)
ReplyDeleteyup, weekly bumibili talaga ng puto ni Aling Remy :D thanks for the comment ;)
