COCO FRESH TEA AND JUICE IS FINALLY IN THE PHILIPPINES!

You guys have seen me posting about this on the All Over Marikina Facebook page, and I am more than happy to be blogging about COCO FRESH TEA AND JUICE, which recently opened their first branch in the Philippines right in the heart of Eastwood (a neighbor of ours, yes!), and has over 1,500 stores worldwide!

We all love milk teas, fruit juices, iced coffees... a drink trend that started way back. There are three tea bases for their drinks: the black, the green tea, and the mountain tea base, which are all beverages rich with anti-oxidants.

The Lemon Calamansi with Aloe is a refreshing mix of citrus components, perfect for the summer weather!

The Pineapple Black Tea Jelly has in its mix pineapples from Taiwan, in Assam Black Tea, topped with Coconut Jelly

 The Grapefruit and Orange tea has a very distinct grapefruit flavor, perfectly mixed with orange.

No kidding: I visit their store in Eastwood least once a week! :-)

During the TeamUp event, Larry Evans Tan, General Manager, walked us through the brand and its advocacies, and addressed all the questions that we had.

EHEM! As guest speaker, they invited Chris Everingham a Health Coach and a member of the Philippine Volcanoes to give health tips, and to discuss the benefits of drinking tea.

Bagay ba kami? Hehe! During the break, we got divided into groups to create our own drinks. How cool was that? Chris got assigned to our team! Yey!

BUBBA LAB Graceland

Since we live near Graceland Plaza (mga tatlong tumbling), one of our favorite tambay places is no other than Bubba Lab! See my other Bubba Lab posts here. I am happy to share some photos of the place with you. :-) If you still haven't visited this branch, hope you do, soon! ;-)

Even More Reasons to Love BUBBA LAB

Okay, we have to admit it. BUBBA LAB is our latest addiction. And when a resto or a bar or a cafe (or tea place, in this case) really gets me hooked, I always write about it. (Remember my posts on SKOW, anyone?)

So, what do we love about this awesome tea place? The killer drink. We call it the killer drink because it leaves us wanting more, it makes us restless on late nights and we know Bubba Lab is already closed. *sniff* The drink that I am talking about: The BUBBA FROST SERIES! Woo hoo!

For you, blessed readers, I will share the concoction that has captured our hearts.

STEP 1: Order a large Bubba Frost Series drink (we always order the Fuzzy Melon, or the Choco Milk Tea)
STEP 2: Request for pearls as sinkers. Yes, you can add an extra order of pearls if you want.
STEP 3: This is the key step: request for an extra shot of cream. That's an additional 10 pesos (and calories) to your order, but I tell you: It's an instant upper.

 P.S. You can ask the scienTEAsts to NOT cover the cup yet as you indulge in creamy cheesy goodness. Mmmmmm.

More Reasons to Love BUBBA LAB

First off, I would like to give a shout-out to all my labmates at BUBBA LAB! I requested a scienTEAst shirt in a (half-meant) joking manner and guess what... they gave me a shirt! How awesome can these guys be? Haha! Thanks so much labmate Mikee for the super cool shirt!

BUBBA LAB

Concept. One big word for businesses! And I'm proud to say that foodie establishments in Marikina never run out of new ones. One of the PEXers, Pao, dropped by the FB page of All Over Marikina and suggested we check out Bubba Lab (Thanks Pao!).

This is how it should look like when you start looking for it around C&B Mall...

The "scien'tea'sts" are in! Cool! Let's go check it out!

The concept of Bubba Lab revolves on a chemistry lab feel (uh, not my favorite subject, haha) which we find it really cool! (Again, even though chemistry is not really my cup of tea, no pun intended.) Here's why:

 Look at their menu! It's the periodic table of (tea) elements! Complete with descriptions and prices. Super cute!

 We dig the black-violet interiors!

 Dear Bubba Lab management, could you please give me one of your scienteast shirts that says "Coffee, Juice, Tea, or Me?" at the back - pretty much what the scienteast in the photo is wearing, hehehe!

 Oh yes, I remember those test tubes and flasks!

 Love it!

TEASOME PLACE

Good news to all Marikenyos, specially those who are living in Bayan or near the area.

No, let me say that again.

GREAT news to all Marikenyos, specially those who are living in Bayan or near the area. And specially milk tea addicts. You guessed it right: now there is a milk tea place nearby for all your wintermelon or fruitea or any other craving for refreshing drinks (with pearls, of course, and other good stuff!)

My dearests, let me introduce you to: TEASOME PLACE! It is about twenty meters - pardon my estimation abilities - which is a short walking distance from 7-11 Marikina Bridge, on the same side of the street. Right beside another noteworthy foodie spot FIRUZ which I featured earlier.

The place can comfortably sit about ten to twelve people, but if I am not mistaken they would be providing chairs and tables outside after their soft opening. Sis and I were both excited to order since we love discovering new milk tea places.

Choco Banana Milk Tea (80 PhP with free sinker) and Wintermelon Milk Tea (75 PhP with free sinker). Yummy teas, yummy pearls! I love their window blinds too! So chic.

They also serve these yummy crunchy potato wedges served with ranch dressing and catsup. A perfect snack to go with the milk teas.
