Serving very good tapa since 1984: TAPSI NI VIVIAN :)
I love their interior. Simple and very clean.
The essentials:
As we anxiously wait for our tapsilog (tapa + sinangag + itlog) orders, I got up and admired their display of viands. There's a lot to choose from! They said aside from tapa, their bestsellers are crispy pata and lechon kawali.
And then our order arrives:
Tapsi ni Vivian also has "Roofdeck" which you can rent for all your partying needs. Our high school batch had our grand reunion here. :)

mukhang upgraded version to ng tapsi ni vivian ah. first ko to nakita sa may malapit sa anonas eh. Masarap nga yung tapsi nila dito hands down.
ReplyDeleteyou're absolutely right, dati, maliit lang ito na eatery. :) ma'am vivian has achieved so much. ngayon pati elevator meron na yung tapsi ni vivian :)
ReplyDeletehey Roni we were here last week,i love their tapa, ang lambot and quite flavourful.thanks!
ReplyDeletehi dessa, the tapa is indeed tender, sweet, and the garlic rice was fragrant, with the fried egg having the right saltiness on the egg yolk. ms. vivian has surely mastered the art of making tapsilog!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I love your blog. I believe Marikina has more hidden foodie gems than any other city in the Metro.
ReplyDeleteTapsi ni Vivian has been around forever. They've switched locations once or twice and they're still one of the best tapsi places in the country that serves chicharon bulaklak on a regular basis. Believe me when I say that this is rarely seen elsewhere. That being said, there has been a MAJOR decline in their Tapsilog since they first started serving it. It used to be a huge plate full of tapa and a mountain of rice that would make you think twice about ordering extra. I hope they don't sink any more than they already have.
thanks so much Ashley! ;-) hope you drop by this blog whenever you can.
ReplyDeletei agree that their servings are becoming miniature by the minute. I remember one of my orders served with what seemed to be two tablespoons of tapa. hehe! next time i visit i'll make sure i tell the management. been hearing about the same complaint regarding the serving even in other blogs. ;-)
umasenso sila sa pang gugulang, di sila marunong magbayad ng utang nila, mga karneng kinukuha nila lahat utang! madaming pinagkakautangan yan di marunung magbayad!

DeleteAnong utang? Eh yung mga karne nila galing sa sarili nilang farm. Obvious na gumagawa ka lang kwento. Haha! Maghanap ka na lang ibang sisiraan mo.
Got led here through a Pinoy Exchange thread talking about some of the best tapsilog in town.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff! I am actually fascinated how Marikina is becoming like some sort of foodie town with its hidden finds and gems.
Great blog that we keep coming back to, also. Looking forward to more posts
