BOYONG'S

This is one eatery in Marikina that is, shall we say, an institution. Almost every Marikenyo knows this place. A bit embarrassing for me but it was my first time to go here last week after almost, well, two decades of living in Marikina. Hehe!

When you enter Boyong's, you'll be greeted by a small (but cozy) space where you can eat. Boyong's delivers for a minimum amount of 200, and they also have customers dropping by for take out orders. We decided to have dinner there.

The food at Boyong's is very affordable (wait 'till I say DELICIOUS towards the end of this post, too).

I ordered the "musts". The recommended dishes by friends are dinuguan (meat stewed in blood), puto pao (a cross of puto and siopao),  pasta and halo halo. I was with Mom and my sister that night, I was able to try out a lot from their menu. Yey!

Dinuguan with Puto Pao (Dinuguan 40 PhP, Puto Pao 14 PhP)

The Puto pao (14 PhP), carefully examined, and consumed. Hehe.

Hungarian Sausage (50 PhP) (This was supposed to have the works of lettuce etc. but my sister is allergic to veggies, hehe!)

Aligue (Crab Fat) Pasta (85 PhP) (notice the heart-shaped garlic bread, hehe!). And when we say CRAB FAT, this one's LOADED. Yum!!!

Seafood Aioli...loved the tomato chunks... (95 PhP)

 Barbecue barbecue yummy barbecue

And of course, we wouldn't leave Boyong's without trying their famous halo-halo (40 PhP)!

I didn't expect them to be this huge!

Ahhh, life's simple pleasures!

So yes: the food is affordable...AND DELICIOUS! Visit Boyong's today! :)

By the way, my name is Laarnie Recto I am also from Marikina, my friend gave me a link to your site. That's why I told her your site is a big help she can write down the address and telephone number of the restaurants and try to go there like you do. 15. what is the landmark near boyong's?we plan to eat there tomorrow.do they have a parking lot?or is it better if we just commute because we're from marikina too

    ReplyDelete
  16. hi! they have space for only one or two cars :(
If you'll be commuting, take the Calumpang Jeep and get off at Chinabank, that's the corner of E. Dela Paz already and you can walk. If the weather's too hot, you can take the jeep Marikina Palengke and get off in front of Boyong's. Keep an eye to your left, that's where the eatery is. :)

  27. hi roni! ano pong sasabihin sa jeep kung baba ng boyongs? from pasig po.. sasakay ng marikina palengke na jeep right? alam ba ng mga driver pag sinabi kong boyongs? thank you..

    1. hi there! from Pasig, di ba papasok ng Marikina from Marcos hi-way... then may time na magri-right yung jeep into E. de la Paz. Landmark mo for that is China Trust. Abangan mo na yung Boyong's dun, nasa left side ng street. You can also ask the driver saan ang Boyong's. Pero if hindi nila alam, you can get off a few meters pagliko ng jeep then lakad ka na lang. Stay on the left side of the street, nandun lang siya. :-)
