SM MARIKINA

For those of you who are wondering where to eat in SM Marikina (obviously for those who haven't been inside the mall), I took a few shots of the restaurants there to serve as your reference. If you happen to be in the area and wonder if there will be good finds inside the mall (there always are!), check out this list to get an idea. This is not a complete list of the restaurants inside the mall, I missed taking shots of WHAM! Burgers, Gonuts Donuts, and the food court for example. :)

 FRENCH BAKER: My Mom's favorite merienda place!

 PIZZA HUT: For all your stuffed crust pizza cravings!

 MC DONALD'S: Never fails.

 MAX'S: Chicken all you can, anyone? Even without the promo, their chicken has always been delish.

 KFC: For buckets full of love - and delicious chicken!

 PANCAKE HOUSE: Love their waffles and tacos!

 GOLDILOCKS: An institution in Pinoy merienda, and will always be.

 GREEENWICH: Their pizzas have improved by a mile, kudos to Greenwich! I love their lasagna, as always.

 BACOLOD CHICKEN INASAL: A classic.

 CHOWKING: I am already missing their braised beef!

 TERIYAKI BOY: Dropping by for some Katsudon! Yum!

 BURGOO: Perfect for dates, family get togethers, and drawing with crayons.

 BREAD TALK: Fresh, fancy and tasty bread baked daily!

 THE OLD SPAGHETTI HOUSE: I am in love with their gourmet tuyo pasta!!

 BURGER KING: Grilled burgers - oh la la. They serve great desserts too! Hehe!

REYES BARBECUE: Peanut sauce and Java rice - definitely the way to go with barbecue!

 GERRY'S GRILL - Haven't tried this branch, but will definitely do so, soon!

PERFECT MOMENTS

What used to be a small stand at the aisles of Blue Wave Marquinton in Marikina has now grown into a cute cafe - still in Blue Wave!

I first got acquainted with the bakeshop PERFECT MOMENTS when my sister had her wedding cake made there last year. They made her really cute cupcakes with really cute bear designs with a really cute fondant couple on top of the main cake. Bravo, Perfect Moments!

I then got reacquainted with them when I bought half a dozen cupcakes from their then small stand. The cupcakes were really good, and what really caught my heart were the carrot cupcakes. I then decided to level up and bought a slice of their carrot cake. Lovely. What I adore about their carrot cake is that they are so generous in spreading over the frosting. Yum yum yum.

Yesterday, we checked out their cafe in Blue Wave since our ulam got spoiled (boo hoo) and I was craving for their carrot cakes again. We were even happier when we learned that they serve other dishes too, at such affordable prices!

I can't believe we spent only 509 pesos for all of these! True value for your money. :)

We took a picture with Chef Rai, too. We saw him walking around the cafe and we asked to have a picture with him. Since I'm the one handling the camera, Mom and Sis had the Kodak moment:

We immediately knew he was the chef because we saw this cute little cake:

And we all blurted out, THAT'S HIM!!! :D

BURRITO BROTHERS

Finally, a Mexican foodie spot in Marikina! Driving along Lilac street on our way to SKOW the other week, we saw this place and immediately included it on our list. Yesterday, we all agreed to have lunch at Burrito Brothers. (They are still on soft opening, as they just opened the place last May 25.)

Burrito Brothers accepts orders for pick up and take out. The dining area can accommodate 10 to 15 people. It is a self-service restaurant, so for orders and all your other needs, you can just approach them at the window.
