QUINA PASTRY SHOP AND RESTAURANT

As usual, All Over Marikina readers have their own recommendations which they gladly share on the page or relayed thru PMs or BBMs. We love you guys! Just last weekend, we dropped by Quina Restaurant and Pastry Shop since we were in the San Roque area (thanks to all those who recommended Quina!).

We deliberately skipped lunch (or did we...?) because we knew we were visiting San Roque and that Quina is just somewhere in its streets. It wasn't really hard to find, along Gi Fernando (formerly Tuazon), just turn right on BDO and go straight. That's Dragon street and just keep watching the left side and look for the QUINA sign (that's house #37).

So, what did we eat?

Mom ordered the Hungarian Sandwich (160 PhP). She said the sausage was juicy and tender, she really liked the sandwich... Okay fine, I had a taste of it too. Hah!

Sis ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara (155 PhP) which she also liked a lot

And I ordered... what else, but the Puttanesca (regular readers know I always order this dish wherever I eat) (160 PhP)

My eat out buddies!

So, we were quite content with the food, but what sealed the deal for us were two things: the shakes and the cakes.

These mango shakes, at only 45 PhP, were reaaaaaally good. These were served before the dishes arrived, we almost finished them up!

The Red Velvet cake (90 PhP)... but wait, this is not even the 'star' of the show yet... Scroll down... and...

THE CHOCOLATE CAKE!!! (80 PhP) I will drive to Quina just for a slice of this heavenly chocolate cake. Yum yum yum. It's like the caramel was already mixed with the fudge. So yummy!!!

Another hidden gem discovered in Marikina! Check out Quina Cafe... and get a slice or a whole box of their chocolate cake!

    1. hi there! are you familiar with Gil Fernando avenue? The long stretch where Tapsi ni Vivian and Hap Chan are found (along with many foodie places). Just enter the street where BDO is at the corner. Enter that street, go straight and you'll find Quina to your left. ;-)
