CAFE FLORA

First of all: MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A BLESSED NEW YEAR MARIKENYOS! We have gone through a lot this year, not only our city but the rest of the country, and I pray that you and your families are continuously blessed as we face another year. :-) As for my latest food find...

Marikina Hotel houses a spacious cafe called Cafe Flora that serves an eat-all-you-can buffet for only 165 pesos (inclusive of 10% service charge). With this price, it's no wonder that we had quite a challenge finding parking, and the place was really packed when we went in. :-)

 Lots of guests

Now on with the food parade...

 Spicy Beef

 Fried fish

 Chicken Fillet

 Menudo

 Afritada

 Beef Curry

 Fresh Veggies

 Buko Pandan Squares

 Fresh fruits

 Monggo Rolls

Sweetened Kamote (there was also sweetened banana)

 Fruit Squares

 Banana Squares

For the price, I can say that if you and your family or friends are looking for an affordable binging spree, then Cafe Flora might be one of the places you would like to check out. Since there are many guests, I advise you to call in advance and reserve a table. Come early too, as some items take time to replenish. Here are some of the other prices for your reference:

Eat All You Can - P150 + 10% service charge= P165
Drinks: Bottomless choice with your choice of Red Iced Tea, Four Seasons, or Lemonade - P50
Soda or juice in can - P40
Coffee- P40

The staff was very nice, too. :-) Hope you check out Cafe Flora at the second floor of the Marikina Hotel. Cheers!

  3. Hey Roni! Merry Christmas to you and your family! :)

This all you can eat offering is very affordable ha. I noticed the munggo roll too. Naisip ko kasi yun local delicacy sa hometown ng mom ko in Visayas called "Bakintol". It looked like that kasi. Its made of giniling na bigas then the center filling is made of the same thing pero nilagyan ng chocolate. Its rolled in banana leaves with peanuts inside. Magkamuka kasi eh hehe. :)

    1. hi Jessica! I think yung Bakintol nga ito... it had peanuts din eh :-) and medyo chocolatey nga ang munggo. I was looking for the dessert label pero hindi ko nakita.. therefore... I called them monggo rolls. haha! Happy new year to you and your family dear!
