So much for my "back with a vengeance" press release, eh?

Let me make it up to you guys with another post on Bacolod Chicken Parilla. This place serves one of the tastiest inasal in the Metro (not only in Marikina). One of my blogger friends, Wencel, recommended that we check out their desserts too. Visit his blog at Biyaheng Pinoy. :-)

Before dessert, we have to feed them tummies with rice and meat. Here is what we ordered (sorry for dark and sometimes ironically overexposed photos, my SLR ran out of battery, boo!):

A stick of Paa (Leg and Thigh, 85 PhP) and a stick of Isol (Chicken Tail,  45 PhP)

 Sizzling boneless bangus (115 PhP)

Inihaw na Pusit (68 PhP per 100 grams)

Everything we ordered was delicious! The inasal of Bacolod Chicken Parilla will always have a special place in our hearts... and tummies.

For dessert, we were finally able to try:

 Oreo Cheesecake (65 PhP)

Black Sambo (65 PhP). I love the gelatinous and at the same time creamy texture of this dessert. Yum!

The Oreo Cheesecake and the Black Sambo

Why hello dear Marikenyos and dear readers. I am back with a vengeance. :-)

I have been off the grid for several weeks following my hospitalization, but more on that on my pregnancy blog here. I thank God for keeping me and the baby safe and now, I look forward to making it up to you guys!

The cafe I'm featuring right now has been recommended to me several times so we went there on a date (yihee) one Saturday. It is along our very own "Maginhawa" street (Lilac) as mentioned by Andrea Paola on our Facebook page. Marikenyos and dear friends, I present to you FORGET ME NOT CAFE.

The counter and the dessert bar. Of course we sat very close to the latter. Hehe!

Comfy couches for a nice family / barkada dinner or snack

 Wall mounts

 Cute corner table

While we were waiting for our orders, they went around and had the customers try some lemon squares and peppermint chocolate squares. They were both good! Yum! I forgot to take some home though. (Will go back!)

Lemon squares and peppermint chocolate squares

Free garlic bread toasts

And then our drinks were served:

 Pink Lemon Soda (75 PhP)

Cookies and Cream Milkshake (95 PhP) without whipped cream

Ready for the food? We sure are:

Bacon and Cheese Croissant (75 PhP)

 Want some?

Stuffed Chicken Breast with Rice (125 PhP)

Chicken Tenders with Dip (125 PhP)

For dessert, we had the Choco Lava Cake a la Mode, the price of which I forgot. Haha!

Another freebie! Super yummy rice crispy ball. The mixture was yema-like. Yum!

For family dinners, dates, barkada hang outs, study sessions (yes, they have wi-fi too), Forget Me Not Cafe is one of the cafes you can go to. I am so happy that our city continues to grow with such interesting foodie places and like I said before, we need not go outside our city just to look for a good hang out place. I, for one, really hate the traffic everywhere, especially on weekends! :-D

 The fountain outside the cafe

Covered outdoor seating (Do you know any of these guys? Tell them they're on my blog... hehe!

How the cafe exterior looks like :-)

Visit Forget Me Not Cafe! Another promising cafe along the Lilac-Rainbow foodie zone. :-)
