This is one eatery in Marikina that is, shall we say, an institution. Almost every Marikenyo knows this place. A bit embarrassing for me but it was my first time to go here last week after almost, well, two decades of living in Marikina. Hehe!
When you enter Boyong's, you'll be greeted by a small (but cozy) space where you can eat. Boyong's delivers for a minimum amount of 200, and they also have customers dropping by for take out orders. We decided to have dinner there.
The food at Boyong's is very affordable (wait 'till I say DELICIOUS towards the end of this post, too).
I ordered the "musts". The recommended dishes by friends are dinuguan (meat stewed in blood), puto pao (a cross of puto and siopao), pasta and halo halo. I was with Mom and my sister that night, I was able to try out a lot from their menu. Yey!
And of course, we wouldn't leave Boyong's without trying their famous halo-halo (40 PhP)!
So yes: the food is affordable...AND DELICIOUS! Visit Boyong's today! :)
Tel. No.: (02) 682-0403 / (02) 682-5615
Open Mondays to Saturdays, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Munching Budget per person: starts at 30 PhP

Dinuguan with Puto Pao (Dinuguan 40 PhP, Puto Pao 14 PhP)
The Puto pao (14 PhP), carefully examined, and consumed. Hehe.
Hungarian Sausage (50 PhP) (This was supposed to have the works of lettuce etc. but my sister is allergic to veggies, hehe!)
Aligue (Crab Fat) Pasta (85 PhP) (notice the heart-shaped garlic bread, hehe!). And when we say CRAB FAT, this one's LOADED. Yum!!!
Seafood Aioli...loved the tomato chunks... (95 PhP)
Barbecue barbecue yummy barbecue
And of course, we wouldn't leave Boyong's without trying their famous halo-halo (40 PhP)!
I didn't expect them to be this huge!
Ahhh, life's simple pleasures!
