CAFE KAPITAN

This is easily one of my favorite cafes in Marikina. Look at these photos and tell me, who wouldn't love the interiors of Cafe Kapitan?

 The cool bar

 A wishing well!

Ahhh, I love these types of walls...So classic :)

I'd say, this is one of the places to bring your date. Hehe! Cafe Kapitan has such a lovely ambiance. And the food?

Blue Marlin a la Pobre... Pobre means poor right? But this one's rich in flavor!

Sweet and Sour Pork

Crab Omelette. Yum yum yum!

The place is often rented for wedding receptions and birthdays. They offer special packages for any occasion (venue + catering). Anyway, we still have to try their Paella. :) Now, I am really looking forward to that!

  6. hi Ella! thanks for visiting. here is what I think you can do to get there:

    Option 1:
From Cubao-Gateway, take the LRT to Katipunan station. At Katipunan, take the jeep to Calumpang. Ask the driver to let you off at Kapitan Moy or the Church of San Roque. Cafe Kapitan is at the ground floor of Kapitan Moy. :)

    Option 2 (FX):
From cubao-gateway, you can take the FX to Marikina (SSS or Parang) and get off at Bayan - right after Marikina Bridge-River. Then walk to 7-11 near the bridge and take the Calumpang jeep. Get off at Kapitan Moy or the San Roque church :)

  7. it's been almost a decade since a great friend and i dined here, and as far as i remember i enjoyed it immensely! lately i wasn't sure if Cafe Kapitan's still around. well then this blog answered my question. and it's pitiful because i'm a native of Cainta, Rizal, and i should've known better since Marikina's just a stone's-throw away. =D

    1. Wow, I do hope you get to visit since Cainta is just a neighbor to Marikina :-) I really love their paella, they really take time in cooking it so if the customer is not the 'waiting' type, they also suggest calling in advance. :-) hope to hear from you again! thanks and keep visiting the Marikina Food Trip blog. Cheers!

  9. we reserved for 75 pax. however, yung food na sinerve nyo pang 30 or 40persons lang since di nakapunta yung ibang mga guests. according to Mrs Lim we can take out the left over foods, and we're really surprised nung nakita namin kung gaano kakonti yung take out food! and yung mga sinerve nyong food tig dadalawang trays lang every dish! we thought na kapag tinake out yung food, yung natirang pang 75 persons na binayaran namin yung mapupunta samen! and yung buko pandan na tinake out namen, 5 pcs na gulaman lang,, ganun kakonti ung natira??!! so unbelievable! we paid P35,000 for those foods.. we're really disappointed. we should have listened to the other people na nakaexperience the same thing. ska bakit kelangan pang tanungin si Mrs Lim kung maglalabas pa ng food, ano yun para kung ano lang yung matira yun at yun lang ang itatake out or iseserve? kahit alam namin na wala pa talaga sa binayaran namin yung food na sinerve at tinake out namin.. very disappointing!

    1. good morning! please comment your name and contact number, i won't "approve" so it won't get published. I just need that information so I can forward your concern to Cafe Kapitan and they can get in touch with you directly. :-) You can also PM All Over Marikina on FB so I can help you get your concern to their management.

Thanks so much for your feedback!
